ASI Tobago Chapter Hosts Successful 2025 Convention Under the Theme “On the Verge”

Posted on Jul 24 2025

The ASI Tobago Chapter held its highly anticipated Annual Local Convention under the theme “On the Verge” from January 25 to February 1, 2025. The convention proved to be a spiritually rich and inspiring event, drawing strong participation both in person and online through ASI Tobago Media’s YouTube livestream.

The convention officially commenced on Sabbath, January 25, at the Good News Seventh-day Adventist Church in Scarborough, Tobago, and continued nightly, culminating on Sabbath, February 1. Attendees experienced a powerful week of worship, preaching, and lay engagement aimed at renewing purpose and mobilizing members for mission.

ASI IAD president and his wife were joined by Elder Diamond Andrews, President of ASI Tobago, and his wife Sister Joy,  Elder Ian Greene,  Vice President of ASI Inter-America, and his wife  Lyndon Antoine, Vice President of ASI Inter-America and ASI Tobago.  Their presence and participation reflected the strong spiritual and organizational leadership that undergirded the success of the event.

The speaker was Pastor Terry John, Senior Pastor of Caring University Church and the convention’s featured speaker. Pastor John delivered a dynamic and deeply spiritual series of messages throughout the week, challenging attendees to live with intentionality and spiritual readiness. His sermons emphasized the significance of standing "on the verge" of God's calling—encouraging members to boldly step into their roles as witnesses for Christ in the marketplace and beyond.

Each evening service was filled with heartfelt praise, testimonies of transformation, and calls to action, while the Sabbath services served as spiritual high points of the entire event. Pastor John’s ability to connect biblical truths with everyday realities made a lasting impression on those in attendance, both locally and virtually.

The success of the ASI Tobago Convention 2025 is a testament to the dedication of the local chapter’s leadership and members, and to ASI’s broader mission of integrating faith with professional and entrepreneurial life. The event not only inspired individual spiritual growth but also reinforced collective commitment to service, discipleship, and community outreach.

As the convention came to a close, participants were left energized, equipped, and firmly grounded—ready to step off the verge and into action for God’s kingdom.
