Posted on Jul 23 2025

On January 23, 2025, the Adventist-Laymen’s Services and Industries (ASI) Chapter in Antigua & Barbuda held a successful convention marked by spiritual enrichment, strategic leadership transition, and renewed commitment to mission.

A key highlight of the event was the election of a new executive board, with Elder "Beddy" Josephs appointed as Chapter President, succeeding Elder Eugene Benjamin, who served faithfully for many years. Elder Josephs, widely recognized for hosting his own online religious program, brings a vibrant media presence and fresh vision to the chapter’s leadership. His appointment signals a new era of outreach, engagement, and lay-led ministry in Antigua & Barbuda.

The convention drew participation from local members, government and church leaders, and dignitaries from across the Inter-American Division (IAD). Their presence reflected strong regional support for ASI’s mission of empowering lay professionals to integrate their faith with their professional and business lives.

A special recorded address was delivered by ASI-IAD President Rohan Riley, who congratulated the new board and encouraged members to remain focused on the division-wide theme for 2025: “Empowered to Serve.” In his message, he emphasized the importance of servant leadership, collaboration, and innovation as ASI continues to advance the gospel throughout the territory.

The January 23 convention closed on a high note, leaving attendees inspired and motivated to expand ASI’s impact through intentional service, ministry, and professional witness. With a capable new board in place under Elder Josephs’ leadership, ASI Antigua & Barbuda is well-positioned to move boldly forward in its mission.
