Three ASI Chapters Elect New Boards and Reignite Mission Focus

Posted on Jul 21 2025

Three ASI chapters across the Inter-American Division—Cayman Islands, Suriname, and USVI-St. Thomas—have recently elected new boards and stepped into a revitalized era of lay-led ministry and mission. These transitions represent a growing momentum across the region as ASI continues to strengthen its impact through faith-based leadership and marketplace ministry.

The newly elected presidents are Isabelle Gumeyi in the Cayman Islands, Giovanni Manhoef in Suriname, and Lennox Ravalire in St. Thomas, USVI. Each brings a distinct blend of professional experience, spiritual conviction, and a passion for service to their respective chapters. Already, there is a renewed sense of energy and purpose as these boards begin to implement strategic plans to expand outreach, support entrepreneurship, and deepen collaboration with local church leadership.

This wave of revitalization is, in large part, the result of ongoing efforts led by Pastor Dr. Gandalal Samlalsingh, ASI Inter-American Division (ASI-IAD) Coordinator. His tireless commitment to empowering local chapters, fostering leadership development, and guiding sustainable growth has been instrumental in strengthening the ASI network throughout the division. Under his coordination, chapters are being reactivated, leadership teams are being trained, and members are being inspired to see their work and witness as one seamless call to service.

The recent elections also reflect a broader trend within ASI—one where professionals across diverse fields are increasingly embracing their role in the church’s mission. From business to education, healthcare to technology, ASI members continue to demonstrate how faith and excellence in the marketplace can advance the gospel in practical and transformative ways.

With new leadership in place and a clear vision for the future, the Cayman Islands, Suriname, and USVI-St. Thomas chapters are poised to make significant contributions in their communities. As they move forward, they do so with the support of the wider ASI-IAD family and a shared commitment to being “Empowered to Serve.”
