Rohan W. Riley of the Cayman Islands has been elected President of the Adventist Laymen’s Services and Industries (ASI) Inter-American Division (IAD), following the conclusion of the 2023 ASI-IAD Convention held in Montego Bay, Jamaica. He succeeds Dr. Marston Thomas.
Riley brings a wealth of leadership and ministry experience to the role. Prior to his election, he served as Vice President for the English-speaking region and as ASI-IAD Communications Director. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, he was instrumental in organizing regional online conventions, ensuring continuity and engagement across the division during a time when in-person meetings were not possible.
A long-time resident of the Cayman Islands, Riley served for 10 years as President of ASI Cayman and was the first elder of the Maranatha Seventh-day Adventist Church. He is currently an active leader at the George Town Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he contributes to ministries including Personal Ministries, Health Ministries, ADRA, Communications, Public Affairs, and Religious Liberty.
Riley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of the West Indies. He is a Certified Public Accountant with the California Board of Accountancy and also holds a Professional Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in London. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education and Leadership at Northern Caribbean University.
Professionally, Riley has held several senior roles in the Cayman Islands Government, including Deputy Manager of the Public Service Reporting Unit, Finance and Administration Manager at the National Housing Development Trust, and Finance and Administrative Manager at the Tourism Attraction Board. He retired from public service in 2019. Before entering the public sector, he worked in the financial services industry as a Fund Administrator.
He is married to Sherree Riley, a retired Finance and Systems Accountant from Caribbean Utilities Company. Together, they have three daughters, and Riley is also the father of two adult children. The couple owns and operates a local busines, Cayman Enterprises Ltd.
